Maria Blackstone, of Rogersville, TN, adopted Eeyore on June 25th, 2010. Maria kept her eye on Eeyore for a long time before he completely stole her heart. She couldn’t stand it any longer, she had to have him.

Beth & David Detroyer, of Camp Creek, TN, adopted Sadie & Magnum in March of 2010 . They fell in love at first sight! David is a barefoot trimmer and will continue Sadie & Magnum’s navicular trimming and soon they’ll both be sound enough to take to the trails.

Amanda, of Johnson City, adopted Peaches on Feb. 27th, 2010. She also adopted Rose, for her granddaughter. They have a beautiful place and Rose & Peaches seem very comfortable in their new home. Thank you, Amanda, for opening up your heart & home for 2 wonderful rescues. Another good ending!

Dawn adopted “Rain” in June of 2005 and they have become very good friends. Dawn rides “Rain” on her property and in the surrounding mountains. “Rain” is going to become a show horse for Dawn’s daughter. They have a wonderful bond and big plans for the future.

Jane, from Camp Creek, TN, adopted Jet in October of 2006. They bonded as soon as they touched. His injury on his hind foot was less of a problem than we thought and Jet has become a fantastic trail horse that will go anywhere! What a wonderful couple!

Stormy was a PMU mare that came with 9 other PMU rescues. Melissa fell in love and now they are the best of friends. Stormy runs on 75 acres with other horses that she has made friends with. Thank you Melissa!

Jason, a Navy Recruiter from Bluff City, Tn, adopted Max on Sunday, May 10, 2009. Jason has had his eye on Max for several months and finally finished his property and took Max & Rowdy to their forever home!

We found “Hope” at a sale-barn in Kingsport, TN. She was run into the ring and as emaciated as she was, the killer-buyers jumped up and started bidding. MAHR bid against the killer-buyers and won. This was August 24th, 2005. We got her to the rescue and put her into her own paddock [...]
