Just found your website! I live in Knoxville and was not aware of your rescue. I am in search of a lesson horse or two and always start with the rescues to try and give someone another chance. My ranch is composed of quarter horses used to help students learn horsemanship, western and trail riding. I am not involved in showing, just casual riding. Estrella caught my eye, but my question is you have her listed as a potential barrell or pole bending prospect. Is this because of her disposition or conformation? She is a lovely girl and about the size I am looking for, I prefer a mare and a younger horse because I also train. FYI my training technique mirrors that of John Lyons whom I have worked with on several occasions. If you think Estrella may be quiet enough to continue natural horsemanship training and become a western lesson horse, please let me know and I’ll head over and have a look at her.
Bless you for all you do!
